Mitchelle Levone Wright replied to Diane Garlick's discussion Facebook? Really?

I use, (and like Facebook) primarily to share photos with friends and family, family that I rarely see but like to keep in touch with, friends I've made along the way through my love of photography.

I read one comment calling it a 'gossipy' something-or-other. Well, it's what you make of it, plain and simple. I've accepted a few 'friend?requests from a people here and I'm happy to have done so.

And as far as the security aspect goes, I've copied and pasted photos from here ?to Photoshop and Windows Paint when trying to help ID a ?bird, so the photos here can be stolen just as easily as anywhere.?

I found this site, rather my husband did and although I am less active than I was when I first joined, I still pop in often to read blogs and discussion, view photos and leave an occasional comment.

I can appreciate what an undertaking this is, and by no means have the time, nor the patience to do what these wonderful volunteers have been doing since it's inception.

I love the fact that Laura Erickson contributes so much and will miss those discussions that bring so much insight to bird behavior.?

I have, however, discovered rather quickly the the group created to migrate the conversation is something in which I likely won't participate. ?It's boring, disjointed and impersonal.

I hope someone comes up with a plan "B", but I fully understand why things went this way and don't begrudge their decision, at all.
